batman fadeBatman of the Slopes:
The Hero Michigan Skiing Deserves

If you’ve spotted a caped crusader carving turns at your favorite Michigan ski area, don’t worry—you’re not seeing things. That’s Batman of the Slopes, a social media sensation who’s taken it upon himself to champion ski safety, fun, and a bit of old-fashioned winter stoke across the Great Lakes State.

Armed with skis, humor, and a mission, Batman of the Slopes travels the entire mitten, from Caberfae and Boyne, Schuss to Ski Brule, reminding everyone that safety and fun aren’t mutually exclusive—they’re the dynamic duo of every great day on the hill. Whether he’s demonstrating proper helmet use, talking about slope etiquette, or just high-fiving kids in the lift line, his message is simple: enjoy the snow, respect the mountain, and always look out for your fellow riders.

With a growing following online, Batman of the Slopes is proof that a little creativity can go a long way in keeping Michigan’s ski culture vibrant—and safe.

Holy powder day, Batman, keep those turns tight and those messages coming!

You want rules? Fine.

Listen carefully. Gotham has alleys. A ski hill has consequences.

Batman’s “Don’t Be a Joker” Ski Hill Code

    1. Thou shalt not litter.
This mountain isn’t your personal landfill. If you pack it in, you pack it out. Even chaos has limits.
    2. Don’t block the lift line entrance.
If you’re waiting for your friends, step aside. The lift line is a flow of order. Don’t be the traffic jam.
    3. Never sit in the middle of the run.
You stop in a blind spot, you become a hazard. If you need to rest, move to the edge.
    4. Look uphill before you merge.
Gravity doesn’t forgive. The rider above you has the right of way. Respect it.
    5. Control your speed.
This isn’t a high-speed chase through Gotham City. Know your limits. Recklessness isn’t bravery.
    6. Unload the lift quickly.
When the bar goes up, you move. Hesitation causes pileups. Precision matters.
    7. Keep your gear in check.
Boards and skis scattered at the top of the run are traps. Stash them where they won’t trip the unsuspecting.
    8. Respect the patrol.
When ski patrol gives an instruction, you follow it. They’re the guardians of this mountain. I respect guardians.
    9. Don’t snake the line.
Cutting ahead doesn’t make you clever. It makes you the Joker. And nobody likes the Joker.
    10. Help when someone falls.
You don’t have to be a hero. But if someone’s hurt, don’t just ride past. Strength means looking out for others.
    11. Check your surroundings. Before you do a sharp turn or a quick stop make sure nobody is close to you.
    12. Respect others. If you want respect, you must give respect. Nobody will treat you with respect if you treat them badly first.

Remember:

A ski hill runs on respect. Order. Awareness.

Be better than chaos.

Be better than the Joker.
