Please Note! Although Discover Michigan Skiing is officially over, some ski areas are continuing the program into February. Treetops Resort in Gaylord and Swiss Valley in Jones are offering Downhill and Snowboard programs and Muskegon Winter Sports Park is offering Cross-Country programs in February. Contact them directly to make a reservation.
In addition, many ski areas offer their own learning programs for the remaining season. Nub’s Nob has a free beginner area and various learning programs. Boyne Highlands is continuing their own version of Discover Michigan Skiing called Discover Boyne Highlands. Mt. Brighton offers a variety of lesson programs. Visit their lesson page for details. Other ski areas offer programs as well.

During January, ski areas across the state teamed up with Michigan McDonald’s restaurants to offer an affordable introduction to the sport of skiing and snowboarding.
